The Things I Covet: Cushions

I’ve never been one for full-face makeup. The most I ever do is glide on some lipstick and head out the door, ain’t no one got time for primers, foundation, eyeliner, eye shadow, brows, mascara, etc. I’m actually so behind with makeup that I just got into liquid lipsticks two months ago. So, needless to say, I am no expert in this area.

But I want to change all that. I want to turn over a new leaf and learn how to use makeup! I’m in my mid-twenties and feel like I’m playing catch up to people who’ve mastered cat-eye’s and how to properly cover up acne at age fourteen. Meanwhile I’m still over here trying not to mess up my lipstick application (darn you thin lips!). Continue reading

LuLuLun Sheet Masks: What’s Up With All the Damn Colors! Part 3

Scented Variety Edition

Quite a few of the previous Lululun sheet masks already have certain scents in them. The Hokkaido mask for instance smells of Lavender but the selling point was the fact it was based on the Hokkaido island, not its scent. These masks however are marketed around the fact that they have a particular scent. I almost called this selection the “Floral” Variety Edition as two out of three of them are floral scents. Damn citrus had to ruin my flow, yo. So what makes these masks so different? Let’s start with the outlier; Yuzu.

My favorite editions to be honest. The Regional Series are so beautiful and the collector in me is dying to try them all. So far Lululun has four Japanese locations: Hokkaido, Okinawa,  Kyoto and Tochigi. On top of those four however, Lululun also has a special Hawaii special edition mask! Let’s begin with Okinawa. Lululun is pretty well known in and out of Japan, though I do not know too much about its popularity in Japan, I do know that I am starting to see Lululun masks popping up when I shop online! I never really dabbled in Japanese face masks in my Asian Beauty journey but I am very interested in these “daily masks” from Lululun. I mean I don’t know of any other brand that has a mask created with the intention of someone wearing a new one everyday. That kind of product intention is what interests me the most from these masks.

Review: SkinFood Parsley & Mandarin Toner

Recently, I realized my toner was about to run out and my first reaction was, “Oh man, I need to do a review before it’s fully gone!” then “Oh, I should buy a new one.” Blogs, man~. It’s a lifestyle that takes over~.

All jokes aside, my toner is going to run out and I’m kind bum about it because it has been treating me nicely for the duration I was using it. So, the back story of this toner goes back to around August 2014.
